Good Afternoon Friends,

Sunday Sermon 05/21/2023 | 10:00 am

Jacob is old, being cared for by Joseph in Egypt. The time comes for Jacob to pronounce a blessing on his grandsons, the sons of Joseph. The patriarch makes an unexpected move at the last moment and overrules the objection of Joseph. How does this relate to the unexpected twists and turns in our own lives?

And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph; does my father yet live? And his brothers could not answer him; for they were dismayed before him. And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near me, I pray. And they drew near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. And now be not grieved, neither be incensed in your eyes, that you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. Genesis 45:3-5

Pastor Lou’s short trip

Pastor Lou made a quick three day trip this past week to the family home in Kempton, Pennsylvania. There he had the pleasure of meeting and holding a brand new granddaughter, Hannah Aileen Synnestvedt, born recently to Judah and Lydia Synnestvedt.

Bible Study

Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:00 am

Last Tuesday we went into some depth as we examined several of the implications of Joseph’s revealing himself to his brothers, and how this relates to the Lord revealing Himself to us and to His people over the ages. This week we will continue the reading of Genesis 45 and the dramatic reunion and forgiveness that is unfolding.
