Good Afternoon Friends,

Sunday Sermon 07/16/2023 | 10:00 am

A famous display of the Lord’s zeal is when He entered the temple in Jerusalem and threw out the money-changers. In the Gospel of John, it is recorded, “And His disciples remembered that it was written: The zeal of Thy house has eaten me up.” (John 2:17).
What is zeal? How is it different from anger? What is a good response to have when something is upsetting us? Come join us in person or online as we attempt to discover better ways of living and loving what is true and good.

The Dayspring from on high visits us! (Luke  1:78)

From the Heavenly Arcana 7083:
The heat and light in the natural world arise from the sun of the world; but spiritual heat and light, or love and faith, arise from the sun of heaven. The sun of heaven is the Lord; the heat which comes from Him as a sun is love, and the light which comes from Him as a sun is faith. That the Lord is light is evident from these words in John:
Jesus said, I am the light of the world, he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12);
and that the Lord is a sun is evident in Matthew:
When Jesus was transfigured, His face shone as the sun, and His garments became white as the light (Matt. 17:2).
