Christmas is a time of joy. An infant Savior was born in Bethlehem! The birth of every child is a joyous occasion. Every human life is to be honored and cherished. It is fitting to make merry at the occasion of the birthday of a friend or loved one. How much more for the One born to be our King! Let us celebrate with songs and joined hands!
The angel said to Mary:
You shall conceive in your womb, and shall bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus (Luke 1:31).
The angel appeared to the shepherds and declared:
Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people: for unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord!
And this shall be the sign for you: you shall find the Baby, wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men (Luke 2:9-14).
The work Divine Love and Wisdom (n. 221) teaches:
(The Lord) became the embodiment of Divine good and truth itself, or to say the same thing, the embodiment of Divine love and wisdom itself, both in the firsts of creation and in the lasts of it.
